Acorn Glade offers two yurts, a gypsy wagon and a charming log cabin at this exclusive grown-ups only site. Acorn Glade is a local wildlife site with a private fishing lake available for guests (fishing passes available to purchase). The site is approx 11 miles from the historic city of York and offers almost 4 acres of beautiful grounds to explore. It is the ideal couples retreat with plenty of opportunities to relax and get back to nature.
Acorn Glade is located in the village of Melbourne with its village store and a renowned gastro pub. There are plenty of cycling trails near by and Pocklington Canal in the village offers canal boat rides (Sun & Bank Holidays). The historic market town of Pocklington is only 6 miles away with its weekly Tuesday market, unique shops and selection of pubs and restaurants. The city of York is just 11 miles from the site and the East Yorkshire coast is within easy reach.
Poppy & Daisy Yurts and Bluebell Log Cabin all have a cosy wood burner and sleep 2 people in a double/king size bed. All accommodation overlooks the private fishing lake and all its wildlife and has tea and coffee making facilities. Bluebell Log Cabin offers an en-suite composting toilet and sink. Rose Gypsy Wagon is a 100 year old renovated traditional bow top gypsy wagon with feature stain glass window. There is a small cosy pull out double bed (4ft x 6ft) that you can climb into. For Rose Gypsy Wagon you can bring your own bedding or hire bed linen.
"The Chicken Shed" is the well equipped communal kitchen and the bathroom with showers and toilets.
No children, no pets and it's a Wi-Fi free zone. Acorn Glade also offers various workshops on site.
Prices start from £100 for Rose Gypsy Wagon for a minimum of 2 nights. Daisy & Poppy Yurt start at £180 for a 3 night weekend break or a 4 night mid-week stay. Bluebell Log Cabin is priced from £180 for a 3 night weekend break or a 4 night mid-week stay. Friday and Monday changeover days (except for Rose Gypsy Wagon).
The Gypsy Wagon is available from April to September. The cabin is open from mid March to mid December. The yurts are available from end April to September.
