Canvas Moon is set on terraces with beautiful gardens and surrounded by pine trees.  You can look out of your luxury bell tents to views of the mountains.  It's a wonderful eco retreat to relax and explore the beautiful countryside of central Portugal.

The aim of the owners is to be as eco-friendly as possible; conserving water, using alternative energy supplies such as solar and wind-up gadgets, and supplying fruit and vegetables grown on their land.

Canvas Moon is a small, intimate and secluded luxury glamping experience with 2 bell tents measuring 5 metres in diameter.  Bamboo showers are provided, using water collected from the local mountain spring, which is heated by the sun. These showers can reach up to 42 degrees providing lovely hot showers.  The compost toilets are built to a high standard with some artistic flair!   

BBQ's can be cooked on the canoped Al Fresco eating area with a fantastic view of the mountains.  The Aguieira Reservoir is located 800 metres away with superb watersports opportunities, river beaches, and walking and cycling tracks.

The area is ideal for swimming, fishing, canoeing, mountain climbing and skiing in the winter. There are some wonderful mountain walks on your doorstep with fantastic scenery and a great chance to see the wildlife, such as families of pine martens, kestrels, buzzards and many other species.

There are several nearby towns offering excellent local cuisine.

Open from March to November, rates start from €200 per week.
