Craighead’s Glamping Howf’s are unique in their quiet country setting, surrounded by natural gardens, a lochan and woodland areas. The Wee Howf and Summer Howf are both perfect romantic getaways which boast woodburning stoves to keep you cosy in the evenings and stargazing windows which are perfect for the clear nights!

Both ‘howf’s’ have wonderful views, sunsets and privacy, yet thanks to the location they are ideally placed to base yourself for easy access to some of Scotland’s finest country and tourist attractions.

The Wee Howf is completely secluded with amazing views of the lochan and countryside, while the Summer Howf is secluded amongst the trees at the very top of the garden alongside the pond with only the ducks as your neighbours!

The Wee Howf is a pleasant 200m walk from the water's edge. Enjoy views over the Ochils, or watch the fish jump in the lochan. The Wee Howf is fully insulated with a log burning stove and candle light - there is no electricity - but you will be provided with everything you need to make this an amazing place to stay at any time of the year. Make use of a pulley system to keep your wine chilled in the 'fridge in the burn'.

The Summer Howf is furnished to give you a feel of camping but most definitely in a garden style. Complete with its own electricity and a delightful sleeping cove with star gazing window you can idle away hours staying cosy from the wee woodburning stove. A delightful canopy covers the patio area where you will find everything you need in the camp kitchen. When the sun shines take the picnic blanket and lie under the amazing Ash tree only disturbed by the ducks and birds. With a distinctly European feel the Summer Howf is furnished tastefully with all you will need and more!

There is plenty to do in the area with great access to main roads and railway, but if you don’t feel like leaving your Craighead Howf you can just enjoy the grounds and gardens of Craighead. There are a variety of friendly animals from highland cows to miniature donkeys, soay sheep to rea, that will keep you amused!

Craighead Farm has been the family home since 1990 and in early 2000's the steadings were developed into what is now known as the Muckle Howf, the luxury 5 star holiday cottage. In 2013-14 the Wee Howf and the Summer Howf which both offer a quirky Perthshire glamping getaway. Also see Tree Howf at the same property.

The Wash Howf is a 200m stroll from the accommodations. It contains a hot shower, toilet, washing up area and fridge/freezer.

Craighead offers accommodation in a luxurious 5 star holiday cottage for 6 - Craighead Muckle Howf - with its very own sauna and hot tub.

You are asked not to smoke in the Howfs and pets cannot be accepted. No children under 16 without prior consent. Both the Wee Howf and the Summer Howf include bed linen but not towels, whilst the Muckle Howf includes everything. The Summer Howf is only available for bookings between April and October.

Prices start at £95 a night with a 3 night minimum stay, a supplement is added for a 2 night stay.
