Eco Retreats offer canvas holidays in a tipi (teepee) or yurt - a wonderfully relaxing way to escape the pressures of modern life.

The site is located in a breathtakingly beautiful valley, deep in the heart of the Dyfi Forest, one of the UK's largest forests. Here you'll find the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the natural surroundings, far removed from the outside world.

Eco Retreats has been running 'glamping' holidays since 2004 so they have a wealth of experience in ensuring that you enjoy a magical and refreshing stay. They have three tipis and two yurts. No electricity or mains water - candles and a solar lantern for lighting, wood for heating, spring water on tap and you can enjoy a hot soak in the new wood-fired outdoor bath next to each tipi/yurt.

Each of the glamping options is situated in its own secluded and spacious location, spread out over more than 50 acres. You really can make the most of the space to relax and reconnect with yourself and your loved ones and the natural world.

The tipis are well-equipped and lovingly furnished with a fire both inside and out, sheepskin rugs, romantic fabrics and a comfy double bed. Your own private loo and shower are just outside.

To fully unwind, book a holistic therapy; you can receive a gentle healing session, usually Reiki, and also take part in a twilight meditation.

At Eco Retreats they are passionate in their commitment to the environment and have been awarded the Gold Standard for the Green Tourism Business Scheme, and use Fair Trade organic produce in the welcome hampers.

There is a 2-night minimum stay. Weekends run from Friday to Sunday and mid-weeks Monday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Friday. Other arrival days carry a supplement. Longer stays are welcomed. Prices go from £195 to £319 for a 2-night stay for 2. Weekly stays from £579 - £619, with additional nights at £70.

Eco Retreats is closed during the winter months. No pets.

Please send a Booking Enquiry once you have looked at the calendar. If marked in green there is one or more tipi/yurts available.

Reviews:
Absolutely picturesque

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of April. It was booked as a surprise for me, and what an awesome surprise it was.
If you want to get back to nature and be surrounded by the beauty of Wales, this is the place for you.
The tipis come very well equipped with everything that you would need and warm up extremely quickly with their own wood burners. Cutlery, pans, tealights, tea, coffee, hot choc, playing cards it's all there for you. The management, who are lovely, even have a wood shed all ready, and a camp fire area set up outside.
The only thing I would say is ensure you take kebab sticks and marshmallows for nights by the fire.
Also, make sure you go for lots of walks as there are some absolutely amazing views just a 10 minute walk away.
I cannot wait to rebook and go back again, it really was such a beautiful experience.
