The Coppice Woodland and The Secret Garden are both found at Guilden Gate Small Holding close to Cambridge and can be combined for 2 families or used separately for couples. Guilden Gate generates its own energy from renewable sources and boasts its own vineyard, fruit orchard, wild flower meadow and herb garden.
The Secret Garden is an amazing grass covered hobbit hole with kingsize bed and solar fairy lights perfect for a couple. The cedar shingle covered kitchen and dining area offers a sheltered outdoor eating zone with a single slab table and benches. The outdoor glamping experience is complete whilst star gazing at night around the nearby fire pit. There is a hammock and covered swing pod to enhance the total "get away from it all" break. There is a private wood fired hot tub, solar shower and luxurious compost loo in a woodland spa area.
The Coppice Woodland offers a full size double bed in a covered, converted 1973 VW camper van and a small double bed (for a child up to about 6 years old) at the drivers end. Alternatively there is a bell tent with a double futon which can sleep two comfortably or can be used as a living area. There is wooden arc covered dining area with solid wood table and benches. The covered kitchen area has a butlers sink and slab worktop with hand water pump. A bright orange wood fired hot tub which comfortably sits four. An oak framed hut houses the compost loo, there is also a covered area with sink and a solar powered shower. Rustic football goals, boules and a natural two hole "golf course" offers entertainment for all.
The Secret Garden is £200 for two nights and the Coppice Woodland is £220 for 2 nights for up to 4 people.
Seasonal produce grown on the small holding is available to purchase.
There is no power or heating at the glamping site, so power is provided by solar lamps, fairy lights and torches. However there are plugs at the potting shed which can be used for charging devices.
