Secret Meadows is owned by a nature conservation charity (all profits go towards the charity's work) and is based at a 115-acre wildlife site in rural Suffolk. The boutique-style accommodation really is at the highest standard for glamping and it has a Green Tourism Gold Award. Secret Meadows is close to Woodbridge in Suffolk.
Secret Meadows' glamping season runs from late March/Easter to early November every year.
The accommodation includes 6 Luxury Lodge Tents (safari style tents) sleep up to 6 people and even have a 4 poster bed, fully equipped kitchen, wood-burning range cooker/stove, private loo and shower. Each tent is in its own wooded area, overlooking surrounding meadows.
Secret Meadows are now offering electricity and WiFi in one of their Luxury Lodge Tents. Plus one now has exclusive use of its own private hot tub in a secluded wooded area behind the tent.
Gypsy's Rest (gypsy caravan with shepherd's hut) sleeps 4 and provides 2 double beds, kitchen area including traditional dresser, Belfast sink unit and wood burning range, dining area, comfy sofa and handcrafted furniture, plus a private loo and shower.
The Hobbit Box (converted wooden horse box) sleeps up to 4. It has a Middle Earth theme and is overlooked by a large oak tree. There are round windows and a magical and quirky living space with kitchen and dining area, comfy sofa, wood burner and private loo and shower.
Secret Meadows 'specials' include Breakfast Hamper, Barbeque Hamper, Private Hen Coop Hire, Bushcraft Workshops, Whittling Workshops and Guided Walks.
Prices start at £371 for the Gypsy Caravan and Shepherd's Hut, and £437 for the luxury lodge tents for a mid week stay. Minimum 3 nights stay.
