Created from unusual pieces of oak, the Sleepout is a unique handcrafted cabin hidden within rolling hills, with amazing views down the Vrynwy valley and into the hills of Mid Wales. Great for couples - guests can get the chance to totally relax in beautiful surroundings with no mod cons or neighbours just peace and quiet.
The location offers a secluded and peaceful site, yet is also only a mile from the tranquil village of Meifod (where you can go to shop for the basics). On sunny days have a swim or even canoe in the river Vyrnwy that meanders through the valley. The surrounding area provides the perfect playground for people of all ages - explore the local area by walking, cycling or even climbing, there are endless scenic routes straight from the doorstep of the cabin.
This unique cabin has been created with herringbone brick, willow and lime washed cob-plaster walls and bespoke windows. The Sleepout is kept warm and cosy even on the coldest nights by a wood burner (plenty of wood is supplied) and as for lighting, there are candles in lanterns and solar lights, as well as the glow from the fire. Inside the cabin there is also a large double bed, which is on a large sleeping/sitting platform at the back of the Sleepout which has a small ladder to get to it, plus room for up to 2 small children on request.
Next to the cabin there is a separate camp kitchen, which has a hand-made pizza oven, as well as a gas burner, beautiful bespoke wooden sink, and a fire bowl. Further facilities include: a compost ('treebog') toilet, plus a unique shower pod, with gas powered hot water. All crockery, cutlery and cooking essentials are provided as well as a cool box with ice packs, towels, bedding, linen, blankets, board games, some books and packs of cards.
Well behaved dogs from £20 per stay- as there is an abundance of wildlife and livestock surrounding the cabin, they will have to be kept on a lead at all times.
