Set in North Yorkshire, in a secluded and tranquil location is Oscar, a MK1 railway carriage built in Derby in 1962. Up to 6 guests can admire the history of the 4 star luxury camping coach while appreciating the modern comfort provided since the self catering accommodation was refurbished to a high standard.
Inside the fully air-conditioned and heated carriage is a double en-suite bedroom, a twin bedroom, bunk room, a shower room and toilet, a spacious 19 feet long lounge/dining area is that has a flatscreen TV with a DVD/CD player. So that you have space to cook your meals, the kitchen is in a seperate room and contains storage cupboards, electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
The garden of the property is completely private and not overlooked. There is a garden table and chairs for outdoor dining, as well as a permanent barbecue great for use when the sun is shining and the weather is pleasant.
Most essential equipment is provided, including: Drying and ironing facilities, tea towels, hand towels, cleaning materials and store cupboard basics, plus all bed linen, towels and electricity are included. There are plentiful parking facilities.
Minimum stay is 3 nights (Friday to Sunday). To stay 4 nights it must be Monday to Thursday. 7 nights - Friday to Thursday.
The high peak times from Easter to September and over Xmas and New Year are priced at : 3 nights - £400. 4 nights - £450. 7 nights - £700.
Off peak prices are - January to Easter/October to December: 3 nights - £300. 4 nights - £350. 7 nights - £550.
Monday and Friday changeover days.
The nearby Station House itself offers 2 bed and breakfast room. One of the double bedrooms was once the Ticket Office, with the Porter's Room and Gent's washroom having been completely refurbished providing a en-suite room, with adjoining bedroom which sleeps a further 2 people. The other double bedroom is set in what once was the old covered yard of the station.
Prices start from £40 per person per night. No single supplement and single nights possible here. Reduction for stays of 2 nights or more and children under 14.
The Goods Shed is another accommodation option offering self-catering for up to 6 people. It is cosy with underfloor heating downstairs and a gas stove in the lounge. Downstairs there is also a kitchen and WC. There is a private patio and garden area with furniture and BBQ leading off from the lounge. There are 3 heated bedrooms upstairs - 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk room - plus bathroom.

Inside the main Station House you will find the Tea Room offering delicious homemade food, and hot and cold drinks.
No pets - but kennels can be arranged nearby. Prices may differ.
