Gorgeous octagonal wooden home with bespoke features, private hot tub and stunning views offers a rural retreat for 2, half hour from Hereford.
Retreat to rural Herefordshire, close to the Welsh border and discover this gorgeous bespoke octagonal cabin for 2 people with private hot tub and stunning views.
The chic, open plan styling of The Corner House gives it a bright and airy, yet cosy feel. It’s array of unusual colourful windows and huge skylight, enables you to catch a glimpse of the beautiful views, passing clouds or starry skies from any part of the property. The lounge/diner is spacious with its mid-century styling, snuggly throws and scatter cushions for that much needed ‘hygge’ break in front of the wood burner in winter, or throwing open the floor to ceiling doors and letting the outside in over the summer months.
The kitchen has all you could need to cook up a storm plus USB charging points for gadgets if you want, but in essence this is a place to come to get away from the pressures of everyday life. The Corner House is powered by solar and gets it’s fresh water from the owners private bore-hole. So really is an off-grid experience.
The bedroom is hidden away and has a gentle, romantic feel to it with soft furnishings galore plus great views through the skylight directly above the bed; the perfect place to enjoy that morning cuppa. To complete the property there is an indoor gas shower and only a couple of steps away undercover is its private composting toilet.
Outside you can step into the sunken wood-fired hot tub or snuggle up to your loved one by the fire bowl whilst listening to the sounds of nature around you. Binoculars are supplied for your viewing pleasure whilst a digital radio, board games, books, magazines and cards offer hours of simple fun.
Why not enhance your stay and order one of the owner's delicious home made meals, hampers or picnics. Alternatively enhance your relaxation with an onsite yoga class or beauty therapy.
Locally you can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities from simple hiking to canoeing and horse riding. The nearby village of Shobdon is just a 20 minute stroll away and here you can visit its unusual church, Shobdon Arches or take a walk around the woods and it’s many paths, before enjoying a well deserved drink or tasty meal in the village pub. Meanwhile the cathedral city of Hereford is half hour car journey away south and the mediaeval town of Ludlow is twenty minutes north.
Price per night ranges from £100 - £155 per night with Monday and Friday arrival days throughout the whole year plus Wednesdays in low season. There is a 2 night minimum stay.
The hot tub costs an additional £20 per day, if heated by the owners using their wood, £10 if you heat it and use their wood or nothing if you heat it with your own wood!
