Croft 103 incorporates two 5-star self-catering properties with stunning views over Loch Eriboll and the mountains, aptly named Hill Dwelling and Shore Dwelling. Located in North-West Sutherland Croft103 is set in an area of unparalleled natural beauty. Take a hot soak outside under the night sky. You may even see the Northern Lights while staying here.

These stunning low impact buildings benefit from the very best in traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge contemporary design. At Croft 103, Fiona and Robbie Mackay have created the ultimate escape for couples who want to be a world away from it all – together. Their approach has always been about quality, sustainability and the creation of an experience fully in tune with the natural environment.

Natural materials have been used to create the striking buildings and both are largely powered by a small on-site wind turbine. Heating provision is via a large array of solar collectors which provide hot water to large thermal stores. The result is two stunning unique carbon negative buildings which sit comfortably in their environment in every respect.

The Hill Cottage has a stylish lounge with beautifully upholstered furniture and a cosy wood burning stove to keep you warm on those chilly days. A large 7ft feathertopped bed is made of lacquered steel and leather and has stunning views, there is a double walk-in shower lined with Caithness stone. But the stand out feature of this property has got to be, the 2 baths! One inside and one outdoors on the secluded patio area (not exactly a hot tub but a hot soak!) with a southerly aspect overlooking the sea,. Each bath inside can accommodate 2 people. The dining area has it's own unique dining table, the fully fitted kitchen comes complete with a modern cooker, dishwash and fridge. There is a separate laundry and storage room.

The Shore Cottage brings the outside in with the open-plan fully fitted kitchen complete with a modern cooker, microwave, dishwash and fridge freezer and dining area leading out onto the generous patio with a barbeque. Here again is a 7ft feathertopped bed in leather and steel designed by a local artist blacksmith. Shore Cottage has a natural feel to it with furnishings and fabrics that compliment the surrounding area - in fact there are ceramics by Lotte Glob, a Danish born local ceramics artist.

Beautiful beaches, Smoo Cave, golf courses, surfing and diving can be enjoyed nearby.

Prices start from £1680 for 7 nights. A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs permitted, there is an extra £50 per dog cleaning charge.
