Far from the Madding Crowd - Award-winning Dorset Forest Garden Glamping offers a romantic getaway for two in one of two characterful vintage shepherd's huts or their new canvas yurts! Set amongst fruit trees in a food forest, Dorset Forest Garden is in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of rural West Dorset. Both huts and Grace yurt have their own private hot tubs.
Located close to the Jurassic coast, the two huts- Artisan and Bluebell, have stunning views across Hardy's countryside. Inside you can find a kingsize bed with sprung mattress and feather duvet, a wood burner to keep the hut cosy (complete with a supply of wood), china and cutlery, plus a range of camp cooking equipment for cooking outside on your fire pit or in the BBQ hut. Also included are bed linen for two, washing up liquid and starter essentials for the kitchen including coffee, tea, sugar, and marshmallows for toasting! The huts also both feature a private ensuite with flushing loo and hot shower for that added luxury.
There is also a yurt on site, which offers a romantic stay for 2 with a luxurious double bed, a wood burner to keep you cosy plus the same kitchen equipment and welcome pack as in the huts. The yurt has its own private shower and compost toilet close by.
For cooking - each property has its own private cooking area comprising of a fire pit and seating area. Alternatively head to the communal BBQ hut in the forest garden to make cooking fun whatever the weather. A fridge freezer and charging points for your use are also in the BBQ hut.
If you wish to have use of your own private wood fired hot tub then there is an additional one off cost of £40 for the duration of your stay. If you are celebrating then why not add a celebration hamper of scones, jam, clotted cream and a bottle of bubbly to your order for just £25 or a BBQ hamper of 4 burgers, 4 sausages, chutney, home baked bread and local apple juice for £20.
No pets due to wildlife on site.
Shepherd's huts £85-£125 per night and are available all year round.
Yurt is priced from £95-£125 per night and are available from Mid March/April - September.
There is a general minimum stay 2 nights.
