Gorgeous eco-friendly site offers 2 yurts and 4 cabins within a beautiful woodland near East Grinstead.
Welcome to the mystical Forest Garden where you can stay in a luxurious yurt or log cabin within a beautiful secluded woodland in the High Weald. Here you can enjoy a romantic break for 2 or a family holiday for up to 5 people near East Grinstead.
There are 2 yurts on site, one that offers a perfect space for couples whilst the other is fantastic for families. Kushti Yurt sleeps 2 people and has beautiful hand painted roof poles, pillars and door. The decor has been influenced by its Mongolian roots and this shows within the bright colours of the soft furnishings around you. The yurt is kept warm and cosy with a central wood burner and you can even make your morning cuppa here with the use of the double gas ring camping stove provided. A comfortable double futon is your bed for the night here, whilst a second double futon sofa sits next to the wood-burner, perfect for those cosy evenings in.
Outside you can warm yourself around the open fire pit (don't forget to pack the marshmallows!) or make use of the BBQ. There is a large picnic table for dining al fresco too! This yurt is approximately 70 metres from the shower/WC area where you can also find a washing up area.
Savannah Yurt sleeps 4+1 people and offers a light and airy yurt due to its large side window and clear crown wheel. This yurt has African styling with soft leopard print throws, sheepskin rugs and a gorgeous carved antique African headboard on the large double futon bed. A second double futon can be pulled out into a bed, plus there is also a single futon bed too if you wish to bring a fifth person! There is a similar kitchen area to the Kushti Yurt plus a Moroccan table and stools set too.
Outside the yurt there is a large decked area where you can enjoy the trees of a day and the stars of a night. Venture down to the picnic table for meal times or simply to sit beside the fire pit or BBQ. This yurt is approximately 150 metres from the shower/WC area.
The log cabins all sleep 4 people (although Idaho can sleep up to 6) and benefit from hand made furniture, wood burning stoves, dining table and chairs. A mezzanine level that is accessed via a ladder, sleeps 2 on a comfy double bed, whilst downstairs a double sofa bed sleeps 2 more.
Outside the cabins you can relax on the verandas and simply enjoy the sounds and sights of nature around you. Alternatively light up the BBQ and enjoy dining al fresco as nature intended. The shower rooms are located from 60 metres to 180 metres from the cabins.
Please note that all properties come with bed linen for one double bed. Additional linen can be ordered for a cost or simply bring your own with you! Other extras include charcoal, logs, Forest Garden honey or Bramley Apple juice and even breakfast.
The owners of this gorgeous site are very interested in health and wellbeing and as such as part of your stay you will receive a free introduction to Forest Bathing! There are also many other courses that you can join including green woodworking, willow magic, beeswax products and mosaic making. Please enquire for more information or if you are looking for somewhere to hold a hen/stag party, team building event, wedding or photo shoot for up to 25 people.
Locally there are loads of places to explore including the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells, the mutlicultural town of Brighton or Ashdown Forest, the home of Winnie the Pooh!
