Historic home built in 1620 offers a step back in time with its Jacobean styling and decor and fabulous 17 acres of land to explore. Sleeping up to 16 guests it offers a great base for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire.
Step inside the property and admire the magnificent grand piano in the entrance hall, that no-one will be able to resist playing a few notes on. From here you can step into the regal living spaces with wood-panelled walls and luxurious leather sofas that you can sink in to after a busy day exploring. The combined living and dining room has yet more soft sofas and 2 fireplaces (one at each end!) that will warm even the coldest of evenings. The dining space offers a cosy affair, where the adults of the group can come together for some supper or a game of cards, whilst the main colourful dining space in the kitchen diner has a brighter more colourful feel to it and plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen itself has a fabulous large central island, perfect for preparing a celebration feast to celebrate your stay with 2 ovens including an Aga for cooking up a storm.
Upstairs there are 9 individually styled bedrooms, 6 of which come with a double bed, 1 with twin beds and 2 with a single bed with space for an extra air mattress if needed. Add to this 4 family bathrooms, 1 with a bath with shower over and the remaining 3 with unique walk in showers and there is plenty of space for all to share.
Locally you can explore the beautiful moorland that covers over half of North Yorkshire, before stopping off for a delicious meal at one of the many local pubs and restaurants. History fans will enjoy a trip to the Medieval ruins and Sculpture Garden at Helmsley Castle or Castle Howard whilst shopaholics will love a trip to York's famous street The Shambles where a plethora of unique boutiques and independent shops await you.
