A gem of a site on the Scottish Borders in 500 acres of unspoilt woodland and stunning views. The safari tents, for couples or a family of 4, are hidden away in the woodlands and a veranda and fire bowl provide a great place to relax in nature.

The tents have at least 300 metres between them and any neighbouring tents, giving you the ultimate in peace, quiet and privacy. The tents are all in separate woodlands, each with a unique character and setting.

Escape to a spacious safari tent, with two bedrooms, one with a King Size double bed and the other with bunk beds, linen is provided but bring your own towels and tea towels.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a large wooden table and chairs, a gas hob and gas-powered fridge. Lighting provided is in the form of battery lamps. A sink is provided with drinking water and a composting loo in a thunderbox hut is close by which is cleaned daily.

Outside on the veranda there is a chunky table and chairs to enjoy your meals whilst spotting wildlife or just relaxing in tranquility. Also provided is a firebowl and bag of logs which is topped up daily.

The campsite is set around The Hub where the cars are parked, with a well equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and undercover gathering area. The walk to it varies between a 7 - 20 minutes from the 4 safari tents. They are remote and in their own peaceful, secluded woodland, the only sounds you hear are the local wildlife which include red squirrels, badgers, stoats, roe deer and variety of birds, even a honey buzzard has been spotted.

The area is also steeped in history, a 150 ft tower to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo being one of the attractions. The mill town of Hawick is close by too. If you fancy a drive north, then the Pentland Hills regional park on the outskirts of Edinburgh offers a range of circular walks suitable for all ages.
