Characterful rural retreat that offers 3 very different properties including a hut, yurt and horse box all lovingly restored near Shrewsbury.

On the edge of the Welsh Hills lies the beautiful and secluded Kinton. A lovingly created rural retreat which offers 3 very unique and romantic properties for couples looking to escape from the real world.

The Duck Hut is simple living at the very best. Sitting in a small copse of trees with stunning views this property was once a fishing and shooting hut and has now become a quirky romantic retreat. With a mezzanine level bed accesible by a wooden step ladder, a fully equipped kitchen, a wood burner for warmth, electric lighting, plug sockets and USB charging ports this property has all the essentials without losing its character. There is access to a luxurious private shower shack behind the hut with a flushing loo and hot shower. Outside is a large decked veranda, perfect for watching the wildlife and the ever changing sky.

The Cloud House is a beautiful traditional yurt and has a double bed and 2 single day beds. Dressed in bright African fabrics, this nomadic home certainly impresses from the moment you open the door. A wood burner keeps it lovely and warm and there are plenty of soft furnishings for cosyness. The Cloud House is lit by candles which gives it a very special and romantic atmosphere. There is an oak panelled long drop loo (which is shared with the House Box) and a private hot 'wild' outdoor shower that is made from reclaimed railway sleepers, copper and stone and has just the best view. You can enjoy dining al fresco by the small barn where you can find an area for a BBQ plus there is a fully equipped kitchen inside with plug sockets and electric lights in case the weather changes.

The House Box is beautifully handcrafted and offers a truly magical escape for 2 people. Once a horsebox, it has been converted into a bright yet cosy space with many reclaimed objects which makes it unique. It houses a fully equipped kitchen with a rangemaster cooker, large Belfast sink and fridge. There is a small wet room with hot shower and a full size double bed above the cab.The shared long drop loo is a minutes walk away. There is electric lighting and plug sockets for charging your mobile and a cracking sound system. It has its own rainwater harvesting system and solar panels which makes this property eco friendly too. Outside there is a  covered porch, a bbq and plenty of private space where you can sit and watch the twinkling stars of the night sky.

Alternatively stay with the owner Frankie in her delightful 15th Century Farmhouse and enjoy a delicious home-made breakfast. The house can accomodate up to 5 people in 2 rooms (2 doubles and 1 single bed) which share the family bathroom. Please enquire if you would like more info about this property.
