Long Valley Yurts - Holidays with a breath of fresh air

Moss Howe Farm - Now with Scandinavian Wood Fire Hot Tubs

“A truly magical experience” is how some guests have described staying in one of the Yurts.

Nestled among the quiet hills of Witherslack at the foot of the beautiful Winster Valley is the charming campsite at Moss Howe Farm. A stone's throw from Windermere but a country mile away from anywhere. It's an idyllic, secluded location with a real away from it all feel. With stunning views, on-site farm shop and the fantastic Derby Arms a short walk away, you will struggle to find a more perfect location for your holiday.

The hot tubs

We weren't sure it could get any better at Moss Howe Farm but now it just has. Available only with Acorn, Pennycress and Clover Yurts exclusive use of the Scandinavian wood fire hot tub with your stay. At 1.8m diameter it is large enough for six persons, ideal for friends, families or just great for that extra treat on a romantic break away.

Imagine yourself soaking away the hustle and bustle of everyday life watching the steam gently swirling and rising up into the night air, a better way to spend an evening I doubt you will find.

The site offers the perfect base for an array of activities and excursions. Whether it's stand-up paddle boarding on Windermere, following the sculpture trail at Grizedale, swimming at Fell Foot Park, a gentle walk up the glorious Whitbarrow Scar or just sitting back at the site relaxing, there is something there for everyone.

There are 4 yurts available for booking from March - October (only 3 are with hot tub). They are all furnished with a distinct Moroccan feel with woolen rugs, colourful throws and twinkling fairy lights. With double and single futons, that can be converted into beds at night, there is plenty of space in the yurts, with a fully equipped kitchen, games chest and wood burning stove. Toilets and showers can be found just a short stroll away.

Prices start from £199 for a 4 night midweek stay at special off peak times for a yurt without hot tub and £299 for one with a hot tub. In peak season a week stay costs from £599 per yurt without hot tub and £835 with hot tub.
