Grass-root glamping in Pembrokeshire - but don't let the pastoral setting fool you. Lottie is a well travelled lady having had many adventures driving across Europe as far as Budapest, and twice to Morocco. She's collected quite a few bits and bobs along the way, making her the eclectic, upcycled glamping truck she is today. Now back for some R&R, Lottie is here in the UK and happily taking guests for back to basics glamping breaks.
Lottie's interior is cosily clad inside with natural timber and an assortment of recycled and reclaimed shelves and storage.
A log burner keeps things toasty in cooler months (along with well insulated walls) opposite which, is the cooking area and further back is somewhere to sit and relax - one side of which can be used as a child's bed. The double bed is over the driving cab at the front (all bedding is included).
One of the dishes picked up in Morocco was the tagine, this is in the truck and comes from the very northern mountain range called the Rif. Cooking in this one-pot wonder dish is simple! Prepare your meat or vegetables according to the recipe, then on the metallic slip mat (important this is used) you can slowly heat the tagine clay dish above, feed in your oil, spice and ingredients accordingly and cook till potatoes soft, then turn off, leave lid on (dish will still cook as tagine is hot) and enjoy with bread or couscous.
Using recycled materials when possible, there is a small deck area with table and chairs. It's a peaceful space, ravens cronk as they fly over and it's perfect for watching the sun go down over the Pembrokeshire countryside.
Lottie is adjacent to a small hamlet of holiday cottages at the end of a private lane, a few minutes from Solva. Sitting at the edge of a tree lined field, the open door and decking have been oriented to overlook the open countryside.
If you feel the need for some cosy, back to basics glamping - with a hint of travel and Moroccan adventure, Lottie could well be the girl for you! Grass roots glamping in lovely countryside yet just minutes from the stunning Pembrokeshire coast.
