5 luxury off grid yurts set alongside the beautiful Lough Mardal offer eco-friendly stays.

Family run site offering yurts for up to 2 adults and 2 kids with stunning views over Lough Mardal in rural Donegal.

There are 5 spacious yurts to chose from, all offering a king size bed and sofa bed, so perfect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. In general the yurts are well spaced out although there are 2 that are relatively close to each other for families or groups that wish to holiday together.

Each yurt is luxuriously furnished with plenty of soft furnishings, a wood burning stove and a gorgeous dome skylight, perfect for a spot of stargazing from the comfort of your bed. The yurts are off grid, so no electrical items here although you can find a private locker in the communal lodge where your  mobile can be charged. Simply enjoy the peace and tranquility that Lough Mardal Lodge offers and take time to relax and recharge.

The Lodge is the communal amenity building and offers a fully fitted kitchen, flushing loos and hot water showers, plus a gorgeous space to simply sit and chill out. Here you can read a book, plan your day or chat with fellow guests. The main room is a gadget-free zone however those who need their daily hit of social media can find a dedicated space in the Lobby.

Whilst here book yourself in for a full body, deep tissue, warm bamboo or Indian head massage for that ultimate in relaxation. Alternatively sign up for surfing lessons, visit the beautiful beaches that are a short drive away or simply enjoy a hike around the lough.

One yurt is wheelchair accessible and can be hooked up to electricity for special needs, please enquire. Dogs welcome at 1 yurt for a small surcharge.

Prices are €90 for a midweek night and €110 for a weekend night based on 2 adults sharing. Children welcome at a cost of €20 per night. Children of all ages welcome, but it is recommended from ages 4 upwards with a maximum of 2 per yurt.
