This beautifully preserved 1920's Showman's Wagon is one of the best examples of its kind available for glamping and probably should be in a museum!
Originally home to a Circus Ringmaster, it is a rather fine example, with hand-painted ceilings, cut glass mirrors and panelled walls.
Separate kitchen, sitting room and bedroom.
The kitchen facilities are simple to preserve the interior of this Showman's Wagon - providing a great excuse to eat out at the local pub or one of the many restaurants in nearby towns.
The bedroom has an elevated cabin-style bed and dressing table. All bedding provided.
The sitting room is an atmospheric room with cosy logburner.
The bathroom is a few meters away adjacent to the stable building is a cabin with hot shower, flushing toilet and sink.
Outside: small fenced garden, BBQ fire-pit, overlooking Estate grounds and lake.
Nink's Wagon sits adjacent to the farm building (enabling hot water and flushing loo) set in 60 acres. The small lake is just a couple of minutes walk away - a gorgeous tranquil spot for an afternoon picnic, evening glass of wine, or simply enjoy the many nesting waterbirds.
Whilst the original Stately Home has long gone the gentile tranquility of a rural English Estate lingers on in the land. Mature trees stud the grazing fields and a very large badger set sits on the edge of nearby woodland where watching these beautiful creatures is very accessible.
Within easy reach of Mid Wales, M6, M54 and A5 - ideal for a short break. Nearby is the Medieval town of Shrewsbury with architecture, Museums, Castle and Theatre Severn, as are Ellesmere lakes, Hawkestone Park golf course and Follies, Chirk and Whittington Castles. Further afield are Church Stretton, the Stiperstone Hills and Ludlow.
No smoking in accommodation. The map locator is approximate.
