Check Availability

A unique glamping experience in an original 1966 Airstream set up on a quiet campsite, only a thirty-minute drive away from York. It has room for 4 people.

The location is perfect to explore Yorkshire, as it is set near the renowned spa town Harrogate, and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The North York Moors and the Yorkshire coast are also easily reached. The pretty market towns of Knaresborough and Ripon, with their small shops and cafes, are even closer and also worth a visit.

Although the Airstream itself is an original from the 1960s, it has all modern facilities, full cooking equipment including a gas oven, radio, fridge, heating and a wood burning stove, a bbq on the campsite which can be used, and, of course, a washroom with toilet, sink and shower.

We just LOVED the whole experience - it certainly lived up to our expectations in terms of the Airstream’s size and glamour! Matt’s friendliness and helpfulness on arrival was just great, and so was his quick response when we ran out of water - with hindsight the man in the 'van probably shouldn't have spent so much time trying to make himself useful by washing up...! The layout and size of the Airstream, its dining area, the pots and pans and fantastic sharp knives set made cooking do-able. The table was big enough for boardgames (important for us!). The ease of setting up the main bed at night, and using it as a sofa with the lovely woodburner during the day, was a delight – it’s a great retreat for rainy days too. Having a loo for night-time was useful with the kids – and the books (‘Smelly Bill’ is a classic, we felt instantly at home when we found this!). The campsite itself and location - so convenient for Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey etc - was just great. Already looking forward to coming back. Oh, and I loved the Airstream book and wanted to steal it
