Two converted train carriages and a Showman's Wagon for stays beside a working train station in the NE Scottish Highlands
Sutherland, in the Highlands of Scotland, is a remote and beautiful area. Rogart is one of the few unspoilt crofting villages existing today. It is perfect for walking, cycling, bird-watching or simply watching the world go by! Fishing is available on the River Fleet.
Stay on a first class train beside a working railway station. There are two carriages and a showman's wagon named after Scottish malts.
Glenmorangie sleeps 8 plus a small child. Each bedroom compartment is quite private and sleeps two. All facilities-kitchen, dining room, sitting room, two toilets and two showers- are shared.
Glenfiddich and Strathisla are in the same carriage with a lockable interconnecting door. Glenfiddich sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2. Strathisla has a twin bedroom. They both have their own facilities.
Dalmore the Showman's Wagon, has a double bed and living area. An additional guest can be accommodated with the addition of a single bed. Guests use the cooking and toilet facilities in the adjacent carriages.
Prices start at £20/person/night and £14/person/night for 12 years and under.
The Waiting Room is a studio apartment with twin beds, a corner kitchen, en-suite facilities and private access.There is wifi and a DVD player so you can relax watching a film. The total price for the apartment is £69/night with a 20% discount for stays of a week or more. This includes a light breakfast (not included for 4 or more nights) and towels. A third person can be accommodated on the sofa bed.
You can watch the trains pass just outside your window but don't be alarmed the first train in the morning is at 8.30am and the last one of the day at 8.30pm.
Sleeperzzz is open from March until the end September. The Waiting Room is open all year round.
