The Hanseatic Hotel

Bergen, Hordaland, Norway

Within a UNESCO World Heritage listed building, this historic hotel is in Bergen, the gateway to the fjords.

The Hanseatic Hotel opened its doors on May 1st 2006. The hotel is located in the heart of Bergen with the Hanseatic Museum as its next-door neighbor. Finnegaarden, the building in which the hotel is situated, is on UNESCO's World Heritage list.

It is a unique hotel for Bergen, and Norway in general. It has 16 double rooms, built in a classic rustic style. Our desire was to create a hotel with intimacy, warmth and atmosphere, which reflect the cultural and charming settings of which the hotel is part. At the same time the hotel has all the modern facilities available for your comfort.

The classic rustic style includes century-old timber walls, exquisite wood furniture, studded leather sofas, antique bathtubs and various other architectural features extracted from Bryggen's days as a hanseatic port.

The Hanseatic Hotel has only double rooms, all with their own special touch. The size and characteristic vary and the interior is modern and tasteful. The large bathrooms with separate showers are an experience in itself. The rooms have modern facilities and includes free internet.

The 16 rooms include 4 standard rooms, 7 deluxe rooms, 3 junior suites, 1 top suite and 1 senior suite.
