Set within the Secret Garden at Duffryn Mawr is The Hideaway, a quirky little shepherds hut sleeping 2 guests with an ensuite bathroom. To fit in with the true historic purpose of these huts, the bright and charming Hideaway overlooks a lambing field. In the spring enjoy a drink outside on the decking while watching the adorable lambs frolicking about.
Cardiff City with all the restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment that it has to offer is only 8 miles away, and can be easily accessed via the M4. Just a few miles West is the historical Roman market town of Cowbridge. The beautiful unspoiled Heritage Coast is a few miles away with superb walks and scenery. Wales offers an abundance of entertaining, beautiful and historic sites including the many castles and museums, golf courses, horse riding stable and race tracks plus, many breathtaking natural sceneries.
Inside the cleverly designed hut there is a luxurious full size double bed which can easily fold away into the wall, creating a perfect seating/ dining area for 2 guests with a table that can also be folded away when it isn't in use. From the bed and seating area there is a great view of the flat screen TV on the opposite wall as well as the log burner effect heater that keeps the hut cosy during the colder evenings. The kitchen area provides you with all of the basics including 2 hot plates, fridge, a microwave and sink as well as essential crockery, cutlery and pans. There is also an en suite bathroom with toilet, wash hand basin and shower unit.
Outside there is a deck as well as the Secret Garden space. Hotel standard linen and fluffy towels are provided.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome by arrangement and depending on size. There is an additional fee of £10 per dog.
Fully inclusive price per night is £85 to include a welcome tray.
