Historic cottage with large garden within walking distance of the village of Benenden and the local pub offers a rural romantic retreat for 2 people.
Historic property with original beams, set in a beautiful garden offers a romantic, peaceful retreat for 2 in the village of Benenden.
Once used by the famous plant collector Captain Collingwood Ingram as his potting shed, this cottage now offers a deceivingly spacious place to stay! Inside you can find an open plan layout with views up to the mezzanine level bedroom. The sitting room has French doors that open out onto the garden whilst the kitchen with all mod cons looks out onto a busy bird table. A modern shower room completes the cottage.
Situated within walking distance of the village, this self catering cottage offers you the chance to totally disconnect from the stresses of life and reconnect with your loved one. Enjoy strolls along the many local footpaths or just take a walk to the village pub, the choice is yours! The village shops are also easy to reach on foot and offer all you could need for your stay. If you wish to explore the area then the forests of the Weald are a beautiful place to start and the Gt Dixter Gardens and Sissinghurst are only a few miles from the property. Alternatively take a car trip to Hastings and discover the Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, once home to William the Conqueror.
