Guarding the Great Glen on the shores of Loch Ness, Fort Augustus Abbey has a long and often turbulent history that stretches back to the days of Culloden and Bonnie Prince Charlie.

When arriving at The Highland Club, the former St. Benedict's Abbey, you enter your holiday retreat at the Moat House through its marvellous entrance and peacefulness starts with views into the Cloister Gardens.

The Scriptorium is a unique and one of the few detached apartments at the abbey; with high vaulted ceilings, gothic archways, mighty stone pillars and beautiful stained-glass windows.

There is a spectacular double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom, and lounge with integrated kitchen with plenty of light and lovely views towards the Abbey Church, Moat House and into the old trees of the west part of the abbey grounds.

Prices start at £600 a week for 2, and short breaks (from 2 days) may also be possible. Included in the price; heating and fluffy bathrobes, and membership to The Highland Club including Tennis Court, Club Lounge with full-sized snooker table, WiFi, heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room, gym and so much more to explore within the abbey and the extensive grounds.
