Westlea House has been transformed into a stylish and cosy boutique bed & breakfast accommodation with 5 fun and colourful differently themed rooms. The house has a magnificent location in Ullapool, a picturesque fishing village nestled on the shores of Loch Broom.
The village in the North West Highlands of Scotland provides a number of charming shops selling fine local produce, cafes, great pubs and restaurants. Entertainment provided by the village a sample of this includes: The Macphail Centre which hosts visiting theatre, music and dance companies, a travelling cinema that regularly visits, there are several galleries in and around Ullapool, boat trips around the isles from the harbour front are available or you can catch the ferry to Stornaway. Plus many major events are hosted in the popular village throughout the year.
On the ground floor of the house you will find the guest's lounge with a contemporary Aga wood burner, separate seating areas, art, books and vinyl records. This is also where the open plan dining area is, here is where breakfast is served.
Once up on the first floor there is 3 guests rooms. The Beach Room (sleeps 2) is a Super kingsized bedroom that can be made into a twin room upon request. The room has a freestanding Victorian style bath and an ensuite walk in shower room. The Forest Room (sleeps 2) has twin beds with ensuite shower room. The Croft Room has been designed for 1 person yet has a double bed with ensuite shower room so can sleep 2 but is the smallest of the rooms.
The second floor consists of The Harbour Room (sleeps 3), which contains a kingsized bed, single bed and an ensuite shower room. The Munro Room (sleeps 2) also has a kingsized bed with ensuite shower room, as well as a luxurious freestanding Victorian style bath in the bedroom with views of the local hills.
All of the bedrooms have luxurious en-suite facilities with powerful showers, large, comfortable beds, luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, beautiful furnishings, local art, free wi-fi access, tv and tea and fresh coffee making facilities. Bicycles can be stored in the lock up shed in the garden at the owners own risk. Guests are welcome to sit and relax in the pretty garden area.
For breakfast there is the choice of a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast using local award winning ingredients, homemade cold offerings, local specialities or vegetarian options. You can pre-order a sandwich pack to take out with you and also can pre-order the Lazy Day continental style breakfast basket that will be delivered to your room for you to enjoy at whatever time suits you best.
Rooms start from £45 a night for 2 including a quality breakfast. Minimum 2 night stay in summer.
