Dorset Forest Garden Glamping offers characterful retro shepherd's hut glamping on a permaculture farm, in the heart of West Dorset's breathtaking countryside. The farm site is located close to the Jurassic coast, each of the two huts has stunning views across Hardy's countryside.
NEW FOR 2017: the Artisan shepherd's hut has a wood fired HOT TUB in its own private garden.
Inside each hut there is a kingsize bed with sprung mattress and feather duvet, next to which is a private ensuite with flushing loo and a hot shower. The Shepherd's Huts also contain a woodburner to keep the hut cosy (complete with a supply of wood and fire lighters), china and cutlery, plus a range of cooking equipment for cooking outside or in BBQ hut. Bed linen for two, washing up liquid and starter essentials for the kitchen including organic milk, coffee, tea, sugar, and marshmallows are provided.
There are three main ways to cook meals while staying in one of the shepherd's huts. The top of the woodburner inside each hut is big enough to heat a saucepan for a simple supper or for a kettle. You can also open the door of the woodburner and toast your marshmallows over the fire. In front of each shepherd's hut is a fire pit, this gives you the opportunity to get creative with your meals. As well as this, there is a nearby BBQ hut to make cooking fun whatever the weather.
Prices start at £80 per night per hut for a mid week stay during low season. Minimum stay 2 nights.
