The Apartments

The two apartments are right in the middle of what's going on in Margate, but they're also quiet and calm.

The apartments have classic mid century furniture from designers like Harry Bertoia and Merrow Associates, jukeboxes, Fruit machines and vintage arcade games.

The floors are orange, they are amazing spaces, in super style and brave decoration.

Each apartment has an authentic 60s-70s kitchen, with cool mixers, stylish toasters, cooker and retro crockery.

Big bathrooms with timber reclaimed from Margate Harbour arms original kings steps and 50s glass lensed blocks and have everything you'd expect.

We have two shops and a furniture yard with designed furniture and artworks and bicycles.

We'd offer you tea and coffee at our general store every time you call by to say hi.

The owner's will be working at their two nearby shops, Margate Retro and the Margate Retro General Store, so are on hand for easy check ins.The owner extends an offer of discounts to guests at his retro stores and Margate's largest furniture yard.

The station's about 10-15 minutes away and there's overnight secure parking if travelling by car.

Cool provisions will be awaiting you - bread, butter ,eggs, milk, bottles of Coca-Cola and orange juice, flowers.

Pop into the shops nearby during your stay if you need advice, tips ; otherwise they will leave you alone. Margate Retro Apartments are your home in Margate!

The Old Town

Margate's Old Town is a delightful mix of old buildings at the edge of the harbour and next door to Turner Contemporary. It's got a bohemian buzz, with lots of vintage shops, cool cafes and top class restaurants. And there's always something cool going on - there are regular gallery openings, festivals and other events around the apartments. Everything you need is within a ten minute walking radius! And a regular Sunday market too.

East Kent

Margate's incredibly walkable. While the Old Town will keep you busy, it's easy to get to trains and buses for Broadstairs, Canterbury and other nearby towns. Or there are great coastal cycle routes - we might even be able to borrow a bike for you! If you're staying from further afield, you can daytrip to London on the comfortable High Speed trains.

£160 a night for 2, with additional guests at £40 each to a maximum of 4. Discount offered for weekly stays. Minimum 2 night stay.
