This is the place to stay for a warm welcome, a great breakfast and the cosiest shepherd's hut anyone could imagine. The setting is everything the website promised and more: early morning frosts on the grass, lots of wildlife to spot and yes-the shepherd's delight: a pink sky (oops it was in the morning!)
In just three days we have managed to trek around Patley Bridge (Brimham Rocks are tremendous) enjoy Harrogate Turkish Baths and Fountains Abbey; we still have Betty's tearooms in Harrogate to return for.....

My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Shepherds Delight Hut for 2 nights the end of February.
The hut is in beautiful surroundings, with all you'd could possibly need. Joanne has thought of everything
The walk through the alpaca field was always fun as they stop what their doing to check out whos passing!
Its is so lovely and cosy, the wood burner is fantastic and really heats up well. The fire pit was great too, we toasted marshmallows (which luckily Joanne had thought of as we forgot to bring any) and drank wine while relaxing in the middle of (nearly) nowhere.
There's a few good pubs about and Harrogate is only a short drive away.
Shepherds Delight is a great little retreat for a quiet weekend away, we will be back soon.
