Harvey sits in a fully enclosed garden on what was once the goods yard at Hayle station, on the Cornish main line one stop away from the branch line to St Ives. Train mad boys (and girls!) of all ages will love this 1950's compartment coach with almost all of its original features intact including the compartments, lamp shades, luggage racks, mirrors, blinds and upholstery.
Hayle is the perfect place for a family holiday. Railholiday have strived to make the carriage perfect for families, with swings, toys, books, videos and more. There is a signal box play house in the garden and to add extra peace of mind the gate is equipped with a high bolt.
Pets are welcome and dog owners coming out of season will love the three miles of golden sands within easy walking distance of Harvey.
The carriage is divided into two separate lets at the central cross corridor by lockable sliding doors. This offers a perfect solution for two families holidaying together, or grandparents and who'd like their own space. Outside of the summer holiday the carriage is only let to one group at a time, with a reduced rate for couples or smaller groups who only need one end. The West end sleeps 6 and the East end up to 8.
There is an enclosed garden with BBQ and wooden sundeck on each end, well equipped kitchen, TV/DVD and CD player.
Harvey offers the perfect stay for the eco minded. There is £25 cashback if you come by public transport and secure cycle storage facilities. Energy is supplied by Good Energy, the garden has nature areas (great places for den building) and herb and butterfly beds. There are full recycling and composting facilities.
