First Impression:

Mid Wales had already proved itself to be beautiful before we arrived here, but the pretty setting for this getaway added another layer to that.

The interior is created with love and individuality for a stay to remember and it was lovely to meet owner Siwan whom we have worked with since 2017, who created this wonderful retreat.

The Accommodation:

This self catering accommodation for 2 guests offers a romantic retreat, where you can hide away from the world for a few days together. The unique features make this really popular with QuirkyAccom visitors.

From the copper bath with heart shaped piping, to the handmade wooden heart table and funky bed headboard and bannisters, so much love and attention has gone into creating this property. There is truly everything you need here for a relaxing getaway.

Outside you can discover your own courtyard area with wonderful private hot tub that will be ready for your arrival. What better way to start your holiday than with a relaxing dip, before snuggling up with your loved one.

Food and Drink:

Be sure to bring all food and drink with you so you don't have to leave this gorgeous cottage. Why not order a hamper of chocolates, cheese and crackers for your first night - what a treat!

If you wish to head out and discover the local village of Carno then the local pub Tybrith is a friendly place for a drink, whilst the Aleppo Merchant Inn offers great food and a lovely beer garden.

If you need any essentials then there is a Spar shop in the village too.

Jess' top tip:

This is a great place for a romantic break and is a good base for exploring too.

If you are a keen hiker then the mythical Cadair Irdris mountain walk in Snowdonia is a must.

Machynlleth has a market worth visiting on a Wednesday.

Alternatively head to the Elan Valley where you can explore dams and Victorian architecture amid spectacular scenery.
