Near Tavistock, Devon, England

A special getaway nestled away on a working farm, in glorious countryside with beautiful views, close to breath-taking Dartmoor National Park.

Kick back, relax and enjoy a unique escape for 2 at The Apple Store, tucked away within a working farm in the glorious Devon countryside, with amazing views over peaceful rolling fields. Equipped with all you could need, this brilliant bolthole includes a well-equipped kitchen (complete with electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher!), dining table for two, a sumptuous sofa, TV, WiFi, under-floor heating and pretty double bedroom.

Outside, there’s a patio area to relax in on a sunny day and a BBQ for cooking up a scrummy supper al fresco, it’s fully enclosed too, so great for your four-legged friend. The friendly but unobtrusive owners’ farmhouse is next door, but you are completely private at this hideaway – though you are more than welcome to use the owners’ large lawned garden with picnic table and sun loungers – the perfect place to relax after a day out and about.

The wide-open spaces and beautiful trails of breath-taking Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach, and there are footpaths to explore in the surrounding area of The Apple Store too. Spectacular Lydford Gorge (the deepest river gorge in the South West) is well worth a visit too, as are the sweet villages, country pubs and towns (such as Tavistock) nearby. The north Cornish coast is about 20 miles away and, if you’re feeling active, why not hire a canoe, bike, paddleboard or boat from the activity centre at Roadford Lake Country Park, or bring your fishing rod for the brown trout in its well-stocked lake. Something for everyone.
