In a stunning rural location deep in the heart of Devon between Taw Valley and Exmoor, but within reach of the motorway, you can find this beautiful cedar cabin with wood fired hot tub that sleeps 4 near Chulmleigh. Handcrafted by the owner and set alone, this is a real treat.
With no road, only an uphill pathway for access and no neighbours, this cabin is truly isolated so you can get totally back to nature, enjoying the sounds of the wildlife and the rustling of the leaves in the wood below. The Nap is set within its own private fenced field so is safe for children and dogs to enjoy the freedom that this countryside location offers. From the spacious decked area you can take in the incredible views over the valley and out to Exmoor with drink in hand, a spot of yoga or sit back in the hot tub and let all your troubles fade away.
Inside the cabin is bright and airy with a living area and log burner at one end, a fully equipped kitchen in the middle and a double bedroom at the other end - plus flushing loo. A mezzanine level offers a second double bedroom which is accessed by a stair ladder with a gate for security. This property is therefore suitable for a family, 2 couples or just 1 couple looking for a romantic retreat!
Locally you can enjoy numerous walks throughout the stunning countryside, hire a bike and ride the Tarka Trail or take a trip to the fabulous North Devon surf beaches. Alternatively just enjoy the peace and tranquility of The Nap; make friends with the sheep and calves, help out on the farm, or just lose yourself in a good book!
There are also some wonderful pubs near by with excellent local beers and gastro food.
Children welcome. Dogs also welcome for a £20 fee. Please note there is good 4G service but no wifi. The hot tub costs £40.
