An unusual and fun way to discover London - 2 beautifully refurbished and comfortable 57 ft narrowboats which can sleep a couple or up to 5.
CURRENTLY NOT TAKING BOOKINGS DUE TO THE VIRUS
Two tastefully refurbished narrowboats offer an alternative place to stay whilst in London. The Velvet Morning and Barbara are not on permanent moorings and move every two weeks. The location is either between Little Venice and Kings Cross. All locations are close to an Underground station and public transport.
The Velvet Morning can sleep up to 4 guests with a kingsize master bed, a bunk for a child and the seating area converts to a double bed. There is a cosy living area and handcrafted kitchen with gas hob, fridge, sink and storage facilities. In the bathroom, there is a claw foot bath and hand shower. Heating is provided by a solid fuel stove.
The Barbara can sleep up to 4 guests with a double master bedroom and a sofa that converts into a double bed. Again there is a cosy seating area with a table and a kitchen area with hob, fridge, sink and cupboard space. There is a free-standing shower which comes with towels and Molten Brown toiletries and free-standing loo. The Barbara also has a wood-burning stove and separate central heating system.
There a few intricacies that need to be learned whilst staying on a narrowboat - water is held on a tank on board which needs topping up regularly. The solid fuel stove burns coal & logs which are provided. It may be worth noting that the power supply on a narrowboat can be drained by appliances, so the engine may need to be started to charge up the batteries. The owner will be on hand to advise and assist if necessary.
A nice touch is the breakfast basket that the owner provides upon arrival.
There is a minimum stay of 2 nights. Prices are £120 per night plus a cleaning charge of £40 for either the Barbara or Velvet Morning. Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Map locator is approximate.
