“I started QuirkyAccom.com in 2011 to ensure you don't have to stay in an ordinary hotel again! We make it simple for you to search (use the icons), price and book unusual places to stay in the UK, directly with the owner. In doing so you are helping others as we give our profits to charities. There are no hidden costs or service fees added.” Jess CEO & Founder of QuirkyAccom.com
"If you want to get away from it all then you are in luck! The UK offers a multitude of Areas of Natural Beauty, ideal places for you to enjoy a quiet stay, away from the masses and from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
We all know that getting back to nature is good for us too, with studies now showing that time spent outdoors is not only good for soaking up some vitamin D, but also is good for us mentally, emotionally and physically.
We are very lucky in the UK to have some incredible places where we can reconnect with nature and our families.
There are an incredible 46 Areas of Natural Beauty in the UK, which make up over 18% of the country, the highest percentage for any country in the world!
This means you can enjoy countryside, coastlines, woodlands, moors, lakes and hills with ease. And with 66% of the UK living within a half an hour car drive from from an AONB, you truly have no excuse!
Here at QuirkyAccom we offer a range of unusual rural retreats from getaways in the Cairngorms in Scotland down to hideaways along the Jurassic Coast in the South West.
Whether you are looking for a holiday cottage, lodge with hot tub, glamping yurt getaway or treehouse stay, we can help make your dream of a relaxing holiday come true with the perfect accommodation for you."
"I don't normally leave reviews but my week here was so amazing: a real escape from everyday life and a wonderful opportunity to stay in what amounts to a living museum. I had a great week reading through the stacks of books and newspapers and exploring all the artefacts, as well as enjoying local walks.
Trips out were limited because of not wanting to take my dog out in the heatwave, but this didn't matter, as it was just lovely to spend days reading, listening to the records and enjoying the view from the garden. Just what I needed after a very difficult couple of years. Thanks for a great stay, and we will both be back soon!"
"We've just returned from an absolutely perfect long-weekend retreat at Daisy Cabin...The cabin is a very special place, quiet and secluded, with a gentle magic of its own. Make sure you plan plenty of time to simply enjoy being here without rushing.
We spent many peaceful hours simply watching the birds, animals and insects coming and going, to an ever-present chorus of birdsong from the hedges. We were fortunate to have ideal weather - warm sunny days with cool evenings when we could still enjoy the fire - but the magic of the cabin and its peaceful surroundings would be enjoyable in any weather."
