Bryn Helyg

Drefach-Felindre, Carmarthenshire, Wales

Large 18ft yurt with middle eastern style decor and set in stunning countryside. Suits a couple or a family, near Newcastle Emlyn.

The Quirky Tour

I couldn't see the yurt itself in place as it was packed up for winter during our Quirky Tour visit, but I did like the location and the set up of this glamping experience. The yurt has its own area at the end of a track with views to the surrounding scenery. There is a hot tub bath for outdoor bathing and the owners want to offer something special here.

Bryn Helyg Yurt with outdoor bath tub is set on a 40 acre organic farm where you can enjoy workshops, retreats, courses and even hold your wedding near Newcastle Emlyn! Sleeping up to 4 guests with a bookable eco wooden hot tub on site, this offers a rural retreat for up to 4 guests to get away from it all.

This large 18ft yurt is the biggest on site and benefits from a middle eastern inspired decor with traditional rugs, cushions and blankets. There is a double bed and 2 single day beds inside plus a luxurious chaise longue, perfect for relaxing on with a good book. A wood burning stove keeps the yurt warm and cosy and there is a low table plus bedside tables for your belongings.

Outside you can cook up a storm on the small gas stove and BBQ and enjoy taking in the views from your private picnic table or al fresco roll top bath tub. If nature calls, then simply take a stroll across the wooden bridge to your own private compost toilet. (Conventional toilets and showers are available at the Old Dairy, down in the farmyard).

Also, an eco wood heated hot tub for 7 is available to book. The hot tub is available for all guests and can be booked exclusively on a first come first served basis for £70 per day.
