The Quirky Tour
Fabulous mountain views and steaming hot tub from which to enjoy them as well as from rooms in the cabin.
No fear of the cold here despite snowy months in winter as there is central heating too. This is a great base to enjoy hikes and even skiing.
The Glenshee Ski Centre is 15 minutes up the road. Most slopes were closed due to a warm spell when we visited but I managed to do a few runs on button lift with artificial snow. That was fun!

Description
Come to Scotland and discover a solid log cabin called Clashmore Lodge, complete with outside hot tub that sleeps up to 4 people within the Cairngorm National Park.
Located at 1100 feet above sea level, this cabin offers incredible panoramic mountain views and is a great base for simply kicking back and chilling out. Alternatively, partake in sporting pursuits including skiing and snowboarding in the winter months or walking, mountain biking and golf in the summer months.
The cabin itself is a home from home holiday with all the mod cons you would expect in a log cabin. It has an outdoor seating area and BBQ for enjoying the long summer evenings in the mountains. The quirky grass roof helps the cabin blend into the landscape and keeps it insulated.
The cabin has two bedrooms and has a full kitchen, bathroom and a comfy lounge with Freesat TV & DVD player. Perfect for enjoying a cosy evening in once the sun sets or simply enjoy the chance to read a good book or sit and take in the views.
Located at the Spittal of Glenshee just 6 miles from Glenshee Ski Centre and within striking distance of many Scottish mountains or munro's as they are known locally. If you are up for a hiking challenge then the Cateran Trail is a fully waymarked 64 mile route that can be broken down into 5 stages, one of which you can cover each day of your stay! Imagine sinking into your hot tub after that - perfection! Alternatively, enjoy a day of touring with Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle just 45 minutes away.
