Built in 1850 during the reign of Edward III, this medieval fortified castle in Northumberland offers a tranquil stay.
Built in 1350, during the reign of Edward III, the castle has retained its architectural integrity and is regarded as one of the few medieval fortified castle hotels in England. Langley Castle is found in the stunning county of Northumberland, not far from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Set in its own ten acre woodland estate, the Castle's 7 feet thick walls provide a peaceful and tranquil refuge in which to escape from today's hustle and bustle to a bygone age, making it perfect for castle weddings or for a special castle break.
The 27 guest rooms are individual and unique all with private facilities, many with four-poster beds and feature bathrooms.
Castle View and The Castle View Lodge are the conversions and extension of other listed buildings within the grounds commanding magnificent views of the Castle itself. Some rooms are interconnecting or adjoining and many can be adapted for families. Two are disabled accessible.
Children welcome. Dogs welcome on request. Free Wifi. Map location is approximate.
