An enjoyable glamping experience
by Sylvia & Patrick
on May 19, 2017
8/5/17 - This was our first experience of glamping & what an enjoyable experience it was. The hut is cosy and comfortable the wood burning stove ensures you never feel cold & the location is idiyllic with views over the village & the hills beyond. Rachel made us feel very welcome & her breakfast hampers are excellent. The bathroom is great & only a short distance from the hut. A good centre for walking & sightseeing & an ideal place to spend a romantic getaway if you are looking for somewhere a little bit different from the usual.
Away from the hussle of city life

21/4/17 - this part of Derbyshire countryside is a world away from the hussle of life in the city. The hut was so tranquil with Rachel thinking of everything you may need even down to a torch &a umbrella. A lovely friendly welcome but also left on your own just to catch up. Breakfast was delicious & no hassle to cater for gluten free diet. Would definitely recommend.

3/3/17 - Fantastic stay in the hut. Rachel goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable & relaxing. We spent 2nights here & loved the hut. So cosy &comfortable. The breakfast hamper each morning was such a treat. We enjoyed a snowy walk, yummy Indian food & pottering around the village & Eyam hall. Would definitely recommend for a good break away from it all & as a good base to explore the area which is beautiful.

3/1/17 - Stunning hut. Attention to detail was amazing - private shower room with facilities very well equipped. Very cosy log burner which will keep you warm any time of year. Eyam & the surrounding area of the Peak District are really nice with plenty to do. We had a great relaxing stay & would recommend as a beautiful part of the world to visit. Great breakfast start your day!

From trip adviser review for a stay in July 2016 - From the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to depart we were made to feel welcome, comfortable and at ease by Rachel the owner of the Hut. Everything you think you might need is as if by magic there just when you need it. From the handily placed umbrella to the delicious hamper breakfast. All thoughtfully and tastefully presented to the very highest of standards. Wonderful stay we will be back again.

Perfect break from the city

Left on Apr 9, 2016 for a stay in Mar 2016

The hut was booked for us as a wedding gift, and we ended up using it almost a year after our wedding. It was a perfect place for a break from the hectic London life. Booking was super easy as we just emailed Rachel that we had a voucher, she sorted it out from there. We ended up arriving very late, yet she was very accommodating despite the disruption. The hut is just the right size for 2 people, with a beautiful view of the hills and the village. We lit a fire and were rapidly toasty warm despite the cold outside. Breakfast was left for us on the table outside well wrapped against the rain, and we had a lovely breakfast in bed. Despite us coming in March, the weather was perfect for a spring walk once we wrapped up. We made the most of the games in the hut and the helpful leaflets left out for us for walks and excursions locally. All in all, it did just the trick for a 2 night break just to ourselves. Excellent bathroom facilities and a big fridge we could stash our nibbles in rather than in the hut.

The hut is amazing! I booked a night here as a birthday gift for my partner and we were both over the moon with our stay. Rachel was very welcoming and helpful. They leave you to do your own thing but they are always there if you need anything. It is decorated and finished to a high standard with a shabby chic feel, and very comfortable. The breakfast hamper in the morning was a lovely touch. Very peaceful and romantic setting - I highly recommend. The only downfall of our stay was that one night was not long enough!

Stayed for a three night mini honeymoon, we wanted peace and tranquillity and thats exactly what we got and so much more. The hut is beautiful and feels like a secret hideaway from the rest of the world. It was cosy and warm without the fire burning even on a rainy night.
Rachel and Haydn wher the perfect hosts they felt more like friends than the owners. The hospitality we received was that of a 5* hotel.
Breakfast was the most wonderful experience a wicker hamper delivered to your door at a time of your choosing. It contains tasty goodies of fresh breads, jams, honey, yogurt with berries and a flask of hot tea or coffee.
The wash facilities where immaculately clean and finished to a very high standard just like tne hut. Surplied was clean cotten towels, crockery, kettle, the use of the fridge, tea, coffee and even fresh milk. My appoligies if iv forgotten something.
There was plenty of choice regards evening dining all in close proximity to the hut ,we can highly recommend the white horse and the barrel inn both of which where recommend to us by Rachel.
We are delighted by our stay and will be returning in the very near future.

fantastic weekend in the beautiful little shepherds hut in Eyam. Stunning surroundings and arrived to a very warm welcome. There was everything that you would need for a lovely cosy and romantic weekend away from all the hustle and bustle of normal daily life. Gorgeous little touches such as quaint bunting in and outside the hut, binoculars for looking out over the beautiful countryside, an array of interesting books to look at while you listen to the digital radio and unwind. The breakfast hamper was very wholesome and unique. Cooking on the fire pit was great fun and enjoyed perfectly cooked food with a glass of champagne, perfect. The log burner in the hut speaks for itself, curled up all snug and warm.
Rachel and Haydn made us feel very welcome and were perfect hosts, we can't thank them enough for letting us stay in their beautiful, little tranquil corner of Derbyshire. We have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful little shepherds hut.
1st Anniversary

I could not recommend this place more. The hut is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The shower room facilities are very clean and hygienic, the shower itself being very spacious. The owners were the best I have ever encountered at a Bed and Breakfast, incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating they could not do enough to help make our stay the best it could be but without being intrusive or spoiling the 'cozy hideaway' feel of the place.
Even if the weather was wet and windy for some of our stay it was actually the perfect excuse to get the log burner on and get curled up with a good book, bliss! We really enjoyed our short stay here to celebrate our first anniversary and will definitely return.
