Award winning eco-friendly site in West Wales offers a tipi and a lavvu. Enjoy campfires, amazing stars, great views and friendly hosts.
WE ARE ROTATING GLAMPING OPTIONS THIS SUMMER TO ENSURE THAT THERE ARE NO SHARED FACILITIES DURING YOUR STAY. The Tipi is not going to be used at present due to the virus restrictions (Lavvu Tipi is available to book).
Enjoy a family-run, eco-friendly, award-winning campsite and has spectacular views of the Welsh countryside. Located on the edge of woodland on a 20 acre smallholding in Carmarthenshire, West Wales.
The Lavvu and Native American Tipi both sleep 4 and sit within their own 'space', separated by mature shrubs and trees, and connected by hand-made stepping stones. Inside The Tipi and Lavvu both have woodburning stoves, comfortable beds, rugs, sheepskins, lanterns (and LED lighting), large cushions, pillows, blankets, table and chests. All normal camping paraphernalia is provided. Just bring your sleeping bags, some food, a towel and a torch.
Outside you can relax by the fire-pit and enjoy dining al fresco on the picnic table. Of a night take time to look up at an endless sky of stars and by morning waking to the sound of birdsong. This is a quiet location, well away from busy roads and not far from both the Carmarthen Bay and the Cardigan Bay coastlines.
For use by all guests is a log cabin with full-size Calor gas cooker with an oven, a wood-burning stove, low energy power for mobile phone charging, a sink, a central table and it has also been made cosy with lots of cushions to sit and chat to fellow guests. There are 2 hot showers, a tiled compost loo and a standard flush loo too. Children can enjoy the play area on the edge of the woodland and den-building is encouraged!
If you are looking for a child-friendly, relaxed and sustainable alternative holiday, look no further. The entire campsite is run by alternative energy - wind and solar - and a new hydroelectric system. All cleaning products are environmentally friendly, and they supply eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, soap and clothes washing products. There are also recycling facilities on site.
Nightly rates are between £70-£80. The Lavvu is available all year round whilst the tipi is only open from Easter to the end of October. Minimum 2 night stays throughout the year. In the Summer Holidays and at Easter there is a minimum 3-night stay from Friday to Monday, 4-night stay from Monday to Friday or 7-night stay with Monday or Friday arrival.
