The Granary Cottage has a rustic charm about it, with exposed stone walls and wooden beams plus window nooks and high ceilings. Downstairs there is a large open plan living area plus a sun room with stunning views over the valleys and hills. There is also an open plan fitted kitchen and dining area as well as a wood burner for that cosy feel.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bunk bed room, all of which feature gorgeous exposed stonework. There is also a shower room with WC on this upper floor.
Outside you can relax in the bubbles of the hot tub on your enclosed private terrace or enjoy dining al fresco on the picnic table.
On site you can take a stroll along the Farm Trail which passes through hay meadows, grasslands and woodlands. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for the variety of wildlife and songbirds! There is also a communal pizza oven and ping pong shed on site, for lots of fun and yumminess.
Locally you can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay, including the shingle beach at Aberaeron or the sandy beaches at New Quay and Penbryn. If you are an animal lover then take a trip to New Quay where you can board a boat and possibly see some dolphins! From here you can enjoy a hike to Cwmtydu of 3.8 miles, about 2 hours each way, along a part of the Wales Coast Path.
If you are looking for other activities there is a farm nearby that does walks with Llamas and Donkeys which are great fun. There is horse riding available locally and a National Trust property 10 mins away, called Llanerchaeron. Alternatively take a drive into Aberystwyth and get the steam railway up to Devils Bridge waterfall and have lunch at the Hafod Hotel which is a beautiful country estate hotel.
If you want to book a local restaurant it is worth having a look at Aberaeron - The Habour Master is a lovely restaurant. There is also the Y Talbot at Tregaron, which has fanatstic food and a Michelin trained head chef.
The site has its own Farm shop with its own organically reared meat. It sells, bacon, sausages, steak, burgers and joints for roasts, plus bread and butter, milk, eggs and pasta and all you need for a reasonable pasta dish or pizza dish. The shop has an alcohol license so you can buy wines and craft welsh beers.
