Hidden Valley Yurt 4

Llanishen, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales

Spacious yurt set on decking with outdoor furniture. A great place to hang out and enjoy the views of the Wye Valley. Closed in winter.

The Quirky Tour

A beautiful valley with brook opens out into a meadow housing a collection of spaced yurts with a communal outside kitchen area between them.

Thinking of holidaying with friends? Book Yurt 4 & 5 together as they are on the other side of the outdoor kitchen away from the others.

I recommend the wonderful walk around the valley to take in the views and wildlife. We enjoyed a visit to Raglan Castle and Monmouth within a short drive or there are more local pubs as well. Although the yurts were not open for my winter visit I can vouch for the fact this is a stunning glamping location.

EXCLUSIVELY BOOKABLE ON QUIRKYACCOM.com

THE YURTS ARE CLOSED IN WINTER - OPEN END OF MARCH TO OCTOBER.

Set deep within 80 acres of meadow and woodland you can find this Mongolian yurt sleeping up to 4 people on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley, near Chepstow. The yurt site has a Quality Assured award.

Yurt 4 is west facing and as such offers perfect sunset views. It is set in a peaceful location but with easy access to the communal facilities.

Inside the yurt is a super king-size bed and 2 single futons. It also has a Mongolian coffee table and stools and lovely Mongolian wall hangings and other items of ethnic furniture. The large crown lets in masses of light and a rain cap can be removed for star gazing on fine evenings. The central wood burning stove has a fire guard, and everything you need to light your fire. The wooden floors are covered with coir matting with colourful and decorative rugs on top.

Outside you can enjoy the space on the large deck and chill out on the benches and chairs. Enjoy dining al fresco at the table making use of the BBQ and chimenea.

Yurt 4 has shared kitchen but has its own cooking station and private bathroom facilities.

There is plenty to do and see on this farm site with children loving the freedom of outdoor space and adults loving the tranquility and beauty of the area. Enjoy many walks around the grounds, taking time to spot the farm animals including the long haired cattle, Soay sheep and many chickens. Challenge the children to a game of badminton or boules or make a den in the forest before splashing in the river. After a busy day enjoy a stroll to the local village for dinner in the pub.

Further afield you can visit the towns of Monmouth, Tintern and Raglan. Those looking for adventure can try canoeing, rock-climbing, mountain biking and paddleboarding all within 10 miles of the site. Alternatively take in some culture with a visit to Tintern Abbey, where you can explore the ruins before enjoying a cuppa at one of the local village cafes or head to the rugged terrain of the Brecon Beacons, just a 30 minute drive away.

Minimum 2 night stay with anyday arrival. If you wish to book a hot tub for your stay this can be done at a cost of £150 for a weekend of midweek stay or £250 for a weekly stay.

**Please note this yurt is next to Yurt 5 so isn't totally private although the decks face opposite directions. These 2 yurts are ideal for 2 families wanting to holiday together. Also see Valley Yurt 5 on QuirkyAccom.
