Description

Warden is one of 4 refurbished former lighthouse keepers' cottages at Bull Point Lighthouse in North Devon. The property sleeps 2 people and is perched on a headland between Mortehoe and Woolacombe above the coastline.

The cottage is all on one floor and offers a romantic stay with a cosy lounge with woodburner, spacious dining room and modern kitchen. The double bedroom has a 5' bed and plenty of storage whilst the family bathroom hosts a bath and large walk in shower. Outside there is a shared unenclosed grassy area with garden furniture. Please note there are 3 other cottages on site and all 4 sleep up to 16 guests in total.

The cottage is spread across one floor, there is a bright & airy dining room with seating for 2 and a modern fully equipped kitchen. A lovely relaxing sitting room where you can cosy up with a good book or watch some TV around the electric wood burner effect stove. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a 5' king size bed. There is also a well sized bathroom with a shower & separate bath to take a nice soak after a long day exploring the local area.

There is a shared outdoor grassed space with seating area which looks out to the stunning panoramic sea views, perfect to sit and take in the sounds of the coast and enjoy the scenery.

The local village of Mortehoe has great shops, pubs & restaurants where you can taste the fresh local seafood. Just a 10 minute drive away, in Woolacombe, there is a Blue Flag sandy beach, great for a day trip. There are plenty of other places to visit nearby such as Lundy Island, Exmoor Zoo & Ilfracombe Aquarium, all perfect for family day trips.

As the building is located near a small cliff edge the area outside of the fenced perimeter can be very dangerous, so care must be taken especially with children. There is however a coastal footpath which is a great walking route with beautiful seaside and country views.

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

No pets. No smoking. A highchair and travel cot are available upon request.

Minimum of 3 nights stay. The change-over day during July & August is a Saturday, in these months the minimum stay is 7 nights.
